We met representatives of the software development, technology teams and Medicine and Information Service departments at Northwestern Medicine and learned about some of their current projects. We learned about various career opportunities in healthcare technology at the company.

Relativity gave us some key advice to growing our connections and improving our LinkedIn profiles and resumes.

CNA insurance presented the many ways their company applies Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to the Insurance industry. They also talked about their open full-time and internship opportunities, and the application process.

ServiceNow visited WiCS and gave us insight to their company culture, internship programs, and full-time positions. We got a chance to network with current employees and they gave us important tips on improving our resumes and strengthening an application to their positions!

At our introduction meeting, we talked about what our organization offers and our plans for this semester. Also, we had representatives from Topstep come and give us a glimpse of their roles and company insight. We heard from UIC alum Isabel and her colleagues on their journey to working at Topstep.

With the UIC Engineer Career Fair around the corner, we hosted a prep session with Engineering Career Center to get everyone ready for a virtual career fair. We went over elevator pitches and tips to get the most out of a virtual career fair. Big thanks to ECC for joining us at this event!

At our meeting, CNA talked about the use of cloud computing in their day to day lives. We learned what a software development life cycle looks like with the usage of cloud platforms.
